Sunday...feb 13....

..the day promises to be on the warm side...(without getting all excited...) i'm speaking of temps in the 40's....compared to the below zero temps of last week with bitter windchills...BRRRRrrrrrr

Yesterday...Maddysen started the physical part of her science fair project...She has planted seeds into 5 different containers...

Each of the seeds were planted at the same depth...same quantity of seeds were planted into each container...

Here she is tending the nursery...



She is going to water each pot with a different liquid: Milk, Blue Mountain Dew, Apple juice, Vinegar...and Water as a constant.

Since I have the sunny window...the plant nursery is residing in my dining room on the cedar chest.

One thing that IS growing nicely...(albeit a bit dangerous...) are the icicles...on the side of the house...we live in the upstairs and the ice has grown into daggars stretching like stalagtytes from upstairs to the middle of downstairs...

Yesterday we decided that with the warm temps they have become a danger...(those babies could fall and literally smush someone...so Robbie took it upon himself to knock them down...the one weighed over 50 pounds!!!! (would not be pretty to have that tumble on your person eh?)





He graciously held them for picture purposes...ain't he sweet???? (either that or he's SHOWING OFF...lol)

then i made a couple of valentine treats for a couple of sweet girls...




Heading out this morning to go see Gnomeo and Juliet! I just love the previews!!! And I prepurchased tickets...to get in for the bargain price showing...($5.00) so Kaleigh and Maddy will accompany me!!!

Valentines is soooo close...i can feel the LOVE!


Got some new dollies in the works...oh the anticipation of it all!!! AND SOME NEW HANDBAGS!!!

Doctor visit over...for Maxx..for now...just waiting to hear from the Neurologists office for his next appointment... This new doctor SEES what we are seeing...his struggles..etc...Only took 5 months...

Lots of the white fluffy, blowing and drifting coming our way with what if forcasted to be 5-10 foot drifts...going to put the shovels INSIDE just in case we have to shovel out of the house..lol....or perhaps we could snowboard off the back upper porch?? lol...

FROGS and lemonade...

started this new year...with all good intentions of posting more often...and here is it half way thru the first month...with only ONE STINKIN POST! BUT...i will not say..i have failed...i will simply make some lemonade with those lemons..and carry on!

Speaking of making lemonade with the lemons...this is what happens when a wool sweater gets...washed and dried......

well not quite lemonade...but



we all know about kissing frogs...

My sweet little grandbaby..maxx...celebrated his fourth birthday on 1/11/11!!!
took some pictures...



(did i mention this nonnie got a new photo altering program???)

and did a little "painting" of the photo and got this...



We sent out invites to family and friends..



and made treats for the kids in his preschool class...



problem with this was..that he HAD 12 kids in his class at the end of last session..so I made 15 thinking with three teachers...that would cover everyone...but NOOOO....now he had 18 plus the three teachers...so after we dropped him off..I went home and made six more treats so noone would get left out!

and we had this delicious cake decorated by his mommy!!! (what a cake decorator she is becoming!!!)





...maxx thoroughly enjoyed that cake..can you tell???

Here we are in this new year...starting fresh. It's always a good feeling after the holidays...the pressure valve on stress...has been released. I don't know about you...but right after Christmas I want to begin spring cleaning. I want all the Christmas decor to be packed away for next year.

I put on the new years calendar just what I picked up at those after holiday sales...jot it down on the month of November so I know what is tucked away for next year.

Maxx will be turning FOUR....in just a few short weeks...on 1/11/11...so there we have those ONES again!

I'm in the midst of DESTASHING...I packed up 6 boxes of fabric and art supplies that I've been hoarding...what was I thinking???? This will be the year of living with less...clutter...and MORE LIFE...
