Here it is...

Tuesday...

It's going to be a busy week...Maddy was sick yesterday...and she went to the dr. Luckily it's NOT strep...just "something viral". Doctors...."something viral" could mean a plethora of things...eh? Kind of like Maxx's last dr. (his 7th this year) He had Maxx run down the hall. Of course Maxx was only too happy to oblige...and scampered off in his run walk limp kind of gait...His diagnosis? "HMMMM...there is something definitely WRONG...but i don't know what" So they did three MRI's. That showed



a large amount of inflammation on his pelvic bone and around the muscle...(shown by all that extra white area...on the right side of the picture)

So yesterday they called so say that a biopsy has been scheduled for this Thursday at 8:10. They will be checking for infection...THEN they can put him on antibiotics...then physical therapy.

This has been going on since August...so perhaps...we will finally get some answers...

IT'S COMING!!!!!

I can feel it in the air! but I can also see it too!!! Look at this FAT ROBIN! It was perched, singing a here comes spring song!!! This bird was the size of a PIGEON!!! WOW...SOOO READY FOR SPRING TO BE HERE.......YESTERDAY!!!



Made this little quiltie for a sweet friend of mine...but then found out I had mixed up the date...(geez..and we even lived in Germany...so i SHOULD HAVE KNOWN the dates are posted differently) So we will say this ia a LOVE suprize...hee hee...

BIG news this month...is that Maddy won SECOND PLACE for her science experiment!!!
Here she is by her display...and may I mention that 5 other people did pretty much the same experiment...and she WON!

Here she is receiving her ribbon from her principal...and her teacher.

I said spring is here...here are the remnants of our snowman that the kids built just last month...I had purchased a colorful scarf from the thrift store to keep the snowman's neck warm...and hmmmmm....couple of days ago we noticed that it was GONE!




Yesterday David called from the yard...to say he had FOUND the scarf!!! We went out to see...and...YES..THERE IT WAS!



UP ON THE NEIGHBORS ROOF!!!! A squirrel had hauled it up there for his nest!!! Oh how I wish i could have watched him/her drag that up there!!! Now is appears to be hung up on a nail or something...as it hasn't moved...

Just a moment of reminiscing...something we won't see again...

Happy Monday Morning! which.....

bled into TUESDAY...UGH...blogger has been blogging down..and WOULD NOT LET ME UPLOAD PHOTOS... BUT
The sun is shining and it's supposed to be in the 40's!

We've been so busy taking Maxx back and forth from dr. to dr. and FINALLY we may ahve an answer to his limping...he underwent three MRI's last week and was tested for LYME disease...well the Lyme test came back negative...the MRI's revealed he has significant inflamation on his left pelvic bone around his muscle....we go back to the dr. this thursday for a more detailed report...and what may be giving him so much trouble SINCE AUGUST!

I've been sewing and swapping up a storm...I finished this little lady for a special friend...who asked...



...and you see that "flower power" patch??? twas mine...from the days of old...



I was in a little matchbox swap...with two sweet girls...
and these are the boxes I created for them...

...this one was for Heidi my retro gal...


...and this one was for Tammie my shabby chic gal....


I filled the little boxes with all kinds of goodies and made them a couple things as well!!!

(pssst...is the science fair ALMOST HERE?????) please PLEASE say it is....Maddysen grew marigolds and fed them with alternative liquids....and also water...to see if seeds need water to grow....YES THEY DO....lol...the water fed plants were the only ones that grew...the milk plants got moldy and sour milk smelling...the vinegar PEEEW...AND THE JUICE WELLL THOSE LITTLE TSEE TSEE FLIES...HAVE MOVED IN....set up camp...and are having a neighborhood get together...or could be a family reunion...



...NEXT time we will find a different project??? lol....

WHAT???!!!! MIDDLE OF FEBRUARY ALREADY???

NO WAY!!!

WEll no matter...Happy mid-week!

Can it be??? Is it over half way thru FEBRUARY ALREADY??? Was it not just Christmas...??? Today...I packed away..the Valentines...so it must be true!!!

I use vintage candy boxes to store my handmade valentines that I have received in swaps over the years...



and keep my valentine pins securely pinned to a fabric topped box...



yes...Valentines is done for the year...2011...

Been doing a bit of spring cleaning and just plain rearranging...probably in that mode..due to the outside temps in the upper 40's and even cracked LOW 50'S!!! (YOU GO GROUNDHOG!!!) To be truthful...I don't care what it takes...just SPRING GET HERE NOW...!!!

Redid some of my built in cabinet in the dining room...



And I think this little bear belongs perched upon this GRANDMA little dish since Vivian, who made this sweetie, IS a Grandma now! whatcha think, viv?







some of you "long timers" on my blog may remember that cup under the glass dome from a "swimming adventure" maddy took several years back...



Been sifting thru some local antique shops....(darn winter...no rummages...) for some bits and baubles to fill my "flea market" boxes for my partners! (Got the boxes done...just need the fillings!

Found these sweet silk bloomies...for FIFTY CENTS!!! Even the shop lady on duty was amazed they were only that price...



They look so pretty attached to my vintage lace panel on my computer door!

The big snow we had couple weeks back...hindered registering Maxx for 4K. But we DID get it done!!!
The sign in front of school posted that it was time...(well just a couple days later...


...so mommy and maxx...made that CLIMB...toward the front doors to school! Maddy only has one more year at Madison...then she heads off to....to....to....to...
(IT CAN'T BE...JUST CAN'T...) MIDDLE SCHOOL!!!



..almost looks like mommy is RUNNING to the office to get him signed up, eh?



...we were met by the "always cheerful..and oh so sweet, ms. Lenore!



we always remember to take in a giftie for the various celebrations during the year... for ms. lenore...she is many times forgotten...
