RUMMAGE...S

started out the morning at a huge rummage, multiple homes...the first house we went to...was vintagey BLISSFUL!

..unique rosary prayer bracelet...





sweet little dolly clothes from the 40's...they need a bit of freshening..(will make an adorable valance on a clothesline above the window)...some tiny little bottles...the EVENING IN PARIS bottle will most certainly become a pendant...of sorts...the others fairy bottles or secret message and or potion bottles...



cute little ice skates pin...(was made by the lady's grandma...how could she sell this?...although I'd like to think that she has a drawer FULL of them...and wanted to share the memory...) thinking these will look cute on a pair of FULL SIZE skates!

...tried to talk david into buying an antique drop leaf dining table...but he said it needed too much work...and yes it probably did...(he's thinking about it...lol) the table was at a home (someone we KNOW...) and since it is priced at ...ready...$5.00...THINKING REALLY HARD TO SEE HOW IT COULD WORK...would look really perfect painted out in white...it is stable enough to hold it's weight...but has a cracked base...would need drilling and strengthening...maybe it is alot of work...
we will see.....

SOCK MONKEY UPDATE...

remember from a previous post..about the monkey I made..that even at an inch and a half was too big?

Here is the former one and the new one i made to fit...he is an inch tall...



The next step I did with him was to add some papers to a vintage pocket watch...

Just out of the oven.... the little "inch and a half" teeny sock monkey above..got some plans for him!

still cool and rainy here...supposed to be in the 70's tommorrow..with huge storms..though...but 70's i'll TAKE!...only a couple more days until i head off to see my brother and his wife in SEATTLE! I leave on my birthday (5th) and return on the 12th!...I got a line on a job...too!!!! woo hooo...great hours...8:30-2:30 mon-friday! perfect...

got to the first flea market of the season here on saturday...shannon, maddy (complete with her "green" bags...and then kaleigh joined us before she had to go off to work...



the weather looked and called for rain...so the bargains were plentiful!

Cute little wooden chair..that i'm going to repaint for maxx's room...
bright dustpan, clear lacy tissue box and some faded floral fabric..and three bead boxes...sweet rose powder container...


black and white checkered purse case ((below)) (from england in the 60's the lady said) and no matter it will be great for storing some small canvas'...and a sweet hat box and a wooden folding stool..that i have plans for...stacking a set of hatboxes on after i paint it out...

i can't wait to get into the new place...and begin restoration! woo hooo....

Robbie found this nest of little bunnies behind the house...there were three..then one hopped away...there were two...then the nest was empty....

nice thing for zoom lenses...and cropping pics...can get closer than the average bear! (do you remember yogi bear?) dating myself there..but it was one of my fav cartoons growing up!
