LAST day of school...

for Maxx already...for this session...

theme for today was pumpkins, fall and fun... Maxx was THRILLED BEYOND THRILL...when he found out they got to BOWL with pumpkins!!!

this pumpkin could also be a BASEBALL! and look i could use the pin as a BAT!!!

LOOK i'm bowling like ROBBIE!!



AND...FOR ART...they created some pumpkins with a bit of glue and tissue paper!





I finished up my halloween shadow box project front.... side (i used a 1913, October almanac for the paper coverings...)





now for a very cool treat!

i didn't take many videos of the kids at Maxx's school...but he was so into bowling I thought I'd take just ONE (and as luck may have it...it's a keeper!)

...the boy has talent...watch that bowling FORM!
THIS made everyone smile.and cheer..when he did this....watch close!




better than the 7-10 split!!!
and not to be outdone...lol... congrats to uncle robbie who bowled a 222, 289 (missed another 300 game by inches!) and a 220 for a really nice 731 series...watch out there robbie...maxx is showing bowling interest!!!

MONDAY MORNING AND WE ARE HEADING...

we got lost in the corn maze...LITERALLY...and maxx kept running this way and that and we didn't want to lose him...he was the only one with the good sense of direction...lol remember he found the farm!!!

And with the arrival of the month that begins birthdays (at least around here!) (tomorrow would have been my mom's 91st birthday, Shannon is on Oct 6, Kaleigh is on October 26, Kevin is on October 31, yep he IS scary..lol then David is on November 3, Danielle is on November 5 then Robbie on Dec 4th...THEN Christmas!) The month of October brings weather that needs light coats! It's been in the lower 40's in the mornings...brrrrrr.... ( I know I know..it's gonna get worse...lol)

We got some strawberries on sale and decided to try out a new pie recipe...

there were gliders to build..(with mommy's help of course!)

the planes FLY!!!



then we made paper helicopters which the pattern can be found HERE


...and the class was filled with spinning, whirling and smiles!!!



but even if you don't have paper or wooden gliders to float thru the air...you can always...

Fall has DEFINITELY ARRIVED!

Woke this morning to grey skies and 44 degree temps...brrrr....still haven't turned on the heat..yet...contemplating it soon...

Happy Thursday! Been a very VERY BUSY WEEK!

Miss Maddy..has been a bit not in my blog of late...she's one busy girl..between school and dance...(she has now moved on to HIGH heel taps...





just let uncle robbie give her trouble...(her room is right above his..lol)





and Maddy has also joined Chorus at school...



Last Friday nite...Kaleigh made her singing debut at a local coffee pub!!! She was AWESOME!!! I was so proud of her!!!






Lots of her friends...(not all pictured) were there to cheer her on...!!! She was sooo nervous...

Also created this mermaid doll...



...gave her a vintage rhinestone bellybutton bling...





This week Ramone, another one of my kidlets...and Robbies best friend... came home for a visit..he just finished up with his basic training...and was home on leave for 10 days before heading off to Germany for two years...






They are really good friends...

Sirr Maxx...had his third week of school...theme was

DINOSAURS!!!!! RAWRRRRRR!!!!

there were stories of DINOSAURS...


artwork involving fruity cereal..that somehow...ended up in our tummy...and even
got dipped (ooops...like ketchup in the glue...)



and more coloring...





and we made dino tracks in playdoh...



we also dug for dinosaur bones in sand...until we decided that throwing the sand was a bit more fun...and that ended our dino bone digging expedition...

Currently living under a layer of renovation dust...the studio is getting a new door...and the old one is being closed up...then repainting the studio walls...then moving everything back in...then we start the kitchen!
