DOIN THE BUNNY SCHWAP...

KICK KICK...(hands on hips) HOP HOP HOP....just finished putting the last bow on my bunny for the swap with sarah!

I finished her and she just needed a little buddy to ride along with her...she is quite the timid one! So i pulled a character from the fabric covering her chest and recreated a little friend for her! She sits appoximately 12" tall...(not including her wired ears) She had to pose for a snapshot on the garden chair before being packed for her journey. Funny story...it is soooooooooo hot here...(95 very muggy degrees) and when i came out side after a brief rain...my camera lens fogged up and the first picture was all dreamy looking!

Hope you like it!! i added a hanger to the top contructed of red glass beads and danglies...the detail is really hard to capture on film...i posted a close up pic below!

FLEA MARKET TODAY!

Ended up going it alone today...could REALLY have used Robbie...to come along...(he's sooo good at carrying packages...especially the HEAVY ONES...LOL....(that means i scored)...not many sellers today but many newbies...and that translates into...NEW STUFF! i got a couple of books to alter...i look for the titles...for themes...got dickens christmas and a chemistry book from 1932 (handwritten notes galore, the little lame prince 1918, and tales from shakespeare, the dickens christmas will be the new home for my sweet little christmas elves still in the woolworth box...going to make a shrine out of it for them to live in! I got The house in the Woods...that was a budget buster at five cents...a whole bag of vintage trims....25 cents...then there was the mirror...heavy but i knew i could redo it...beveled mirrow...guy wanted $10.00 for it...hmmmm...i just kept looking and looking at it...and he came over and said he didn't want to take it home...hmmmm(note to self...he will bargain)... okay i'll take $8.00 for it...i just stood there...hmmmm he's dropping that price fast...lol..i picked it up to see if it would fall apart...nope solid as a rock...looked at him....he goes...okay you drive a hard bargain...( i hadn't said ANYTHING!)...$5.00!!! HOW DO THOSE BIRDS ON NEMO GO...? 'mine, mine mine mine"...

and hey lookie at the magazine with the cover that boasts...buy this house for just over 2000.00! i'll write a check now! lol darn from 1941...wonderful graphics!

then there was a vintage children's box...hmmm fashions by Fawn...and you know how much i love my vintage kids stuff! i opened the box...and there nesting inside were pretty pretty vintage easter honeycomb goodies and chicks!

was a great day!

i'll be out of touch for a couple of days...just chat amongst yourselves...going camping...taking two totes of goodies to work on...

Today is Monday....

...i think. Was a busy day! Did anyone catch Army Wives last nite...it was a good episode...Today Kaleigh had to go to the eye dr. for her 4th check after her retina reattachment surgery...her appt was at 3 o'clock...well at 5:30...the nurse came up to her and said, "don't worry, you are next"..well and i hate to use the word DUH...but there was NO ONE ELSE LEFT SITTING IN THE WAITING ROOM! She got done at 5:45...She was very noticeably upset...they found fluid behind her left eye...that they are going to watch...as if it dosen't go away....they will have to do surgery on that eye...as well. NOT GOOD NEWS...i told her to keep a positive outlook...that the fluid will be reabsorbed and surgery will not be necessary.

Papa and Maddy set up the camping tent in their backyard so they could camp out...they played a game of memory and a round of I spy...then maddy went into the house to tell her mom that she didn't want to sleep out in the tent...(it's raining) and said that papa could still because "he was having so much fun...that she didn't want to spoil it but she wanted to come inside"

No luck on the job hunt for Robbie...

Danielle came over to download the pictures she shot of Kori's wedding so she could burn some disks of all the pictures. Took awhile as she altered many of them.

It's still monday...but time to rest.

at the waterpark....

So yesterday we went to the waterpark and maxx had his first swimming experience..he DID NOT LIKE THE WATER...TOOOOO COLD...was my guess! he did like being cuddled in his beach towel...all snuggly warm!

hee hee...that was one of my nicknames in high school...SUNSHINE...also fingernails...because i used to paint scenery and all kinds of things...all freehand on my fingernails every day...became a legend for it...lol...who knew i was altering my existance way back then..lol

they did such a spectacular job...then it was time for goodbyes...maddysen is going to a different school next year...she will still get to see some of her friends though in dance classes...in the fall...but that seems like such a l-o--n---g time...

Where has the time gone?

This week has been a whirlwind...sorrowful memories....new lives beginning...happy sad...a mixture of emotions....last saturday marked the 9th anniversary of my sisters passing...last nite my BABY graduated from high school..today maddysen graduated from kindergarten...tonite maxx gave us his first hearty from the tummy giggle...tommorrow will be 2 years since my mom passed away...beginnings and endings...and beginnings again...learning growing loving the present as they say it is a gift we give ourselves! BIG HUGZ MY PRECIOUS ANGELS!

what day is it?

Having problems because of sooo much fun remembering what day it is! Fantastic rummage day today...We started with a "list" routed out so we weren't backtracking...(don't want to waste the $$$ we save on GAS! ALTHOUGH TODAY IT DROPPED TO 3.19 A GALLON....amazing how we get "conditioned" to rejoice at 3.19!!!! Seems to jump by dimes and drop by pennies...anyway back to "the list" the rummages that were on the list...were lousy..chalk them making "the list" up to creative writing on their part! THEY SOUNDED SOOO GOOD! although we did find a few in the areas of the published ones that were outstanding! One rummage filled the front grass with an entire house of shabby chic decor! Like they took the house and tipped it on it's side and shook it out the front door! Many things were marked...and were a bit pricey but there were lots of items that weren't marked...had to call the lady with the "hat" over to price them...(and that was a GOOD THING) as she gave us FANTASTIC DEALS...i got three armloads of stuff..(she didn't have bags...WHO CARES!) ANTIQUE DESK FAN...going to paint the blades...there's no cord so it will just sit and look pretty!...two boxes 18 compartments in each filled with old rosaries and glass beaded chains! bits and pieces...i was worried about this price..and had to sheepishly ask while clutching both boxes...another lady was coveting them...i could see the "look" in her eyes as she stood right next to me and ask what was in the boxes...hee hee...so i went to the hat lady and she said...oh those old things...how about 2.00 for all...geez...my heart skipped a beat! got a shaggy rag rug...an antique gardening fork...some vintage fabrics...



....was a good day! and tommorrow there is a 40 family sale three blocks from my house! starts at 8...shannon meeting me there with the babies...

...working on my tiara for the tiara swap! oh oh...i have 4 layers of wire, beads, irridescent fibers, more beads on it already...i did the base and added 13 spires to it tonite! going to add more each day!



teapartea swap going well...can't say much about that because IT'S A SUPRIZE!

A couple people have asked...

YES...i took the photos of the flowers from my garden and then added the words to the photos...but i do think i heard the flowers whisper the sweet sounds from within their petals...

the rain pounded us today and I worried about the flowers just planted in the garden...they stood strong and drank in the glory of the day.
