tHUrsDAy ....upS & dOwnS...

It's been a CRazY up and down...ride the last 16 months..with David having no job...his unemployment was 1/3 of his salary...and when the bills are at his salary...oh goodness...so many people are going thru this everywhere...it's such a scary place to be...

One's self esteem takes a major blow...all the training and licensing that was under your belt is stripped away...leaving you raw...where to i go now??? I'm not trained to do anything else! At an age that one should feel a bit secure...you see all your savings slip thru your fingers...you pack up and move...hoping for something to come along...nothing..day after day...sleep seems a solution...always tired...because there is really nothing that your heart was into workwise that was available...

The faces of emptiness were painted along the walls sitting on chairs waiting for a job...the ringing of the phone..created immediate attention...then nothing...just another wrong number or someone wanting something you no longer had secured...wanting to be wanted...someone to put your knowledge to use...where do you begin...again...once much has passed you by in years...can an old dog learn new tricks?

DAVID GOT A JOB!!! AND LOOK HOW PROUD....



it's still 1/3 his original salary...but the pride that SOMEONE WANTED HIM...

...and down the road...another something may come along...no...IT WILL! because the tv said this nightmare was ending...RIGHT?

ups and downs...

little man climbed UP the steps..to his new adventure...



SAME STEPS big sister climbed...same steps cousins and aunties climbed many years ago...

although the face was different the smile was just as sweet!

down...



and the parachute went down....



and up...



it was the beginning of him growing UP...with a new set of friends...



...of him looking down and reaching for new things and ideas...



even if it involved painting the mud on the piggies with pudding...



because the finished piece will make everyone happy!



and for a moment in time when they sang their little goodbye song...we knew...



that not only was it time to go home...but...


soon enough maxx would be growing and moving away from our grasp...not a little toddler..but into a little boy then on and on...and with every moment and rite of passage...we can only hope to have made the right choices and lessons and love for him to grow into a wonderful man...
