been a whole week..

...since my last post...miss maddysen has been ill and today she went to the dr...and she has strep!...so no school tommorrow...

i did get my fairy shoe box done...

Here are the shoes...


and here is the box....it is 6" X 6.5" in size...handmade of a soft wood then painted.
I began with a wine label that i altered and cut out an oval from the center to "seat" my fairy, Tilly. Tilly lives beneath a tangled grape vine in the Tuscan Valley. She has quite the temper and in trying to harness it, she had to undergo anger management therapy. Her foot stomping, temper tantrums have been put to good use!


glittered her wings and the insides of the shoes and a light brush on the tops of some of the grapes...shoes are of vintage upholstery fabric, sheer hand-gathered organza ribbon, vintage lavender/gold rikrak, rusty metal painted vines, popped a couple of corks from some wine and voila...instant display pedestals!
