for some suggestions....
for davids side of the family...we draw names for the little kids..(i.e. if you have two little ones under the age of 18 you draw two names...) well we are out of that category...but i'm in charge of organizing it....well many of the families are going thru hard times...so i suggested that maybe we do a book exchange...of sorts...could be reading books, color books, drawing books...BOOKS...but i'm looking for some unique way to present this...to make it fun...for the kiddies...or if anyone has any other ideas...my sil usually comes up with an art project... i just get to take charge of the gifts...
SO ALL YOU SWEET CREATIVE PEOPLE OUT THERE...if you can think of anything...just let me know!!! hugz!!!....

this year the Evitts' are having a "homemade" Christmas. The adults are all to each make their present for the game they play. It can be anything from homemade Salsa to Jewlery . . . cookies, cakes, afagahns, paintings, you get the drift.
I'm really looking forward to it of course! I'm hoping that my BIL Jerry cans up some Salsa!
What about books but in a book bag with their name on it . . . . love your banner by the way! Rachaelxo p.s. how about your brother coming to lil old NZ????? Is he staying in Auckland, can I meet him, will he take a parcel back for you???? So many questions . . . .
I love Rose's suggestion of the book bags! You could buy small canvas totes and each person could decorate them for their chosen recipient. Then add a book for them - and perhaps a bookmark or two (could even be homemade!) and viola - a wonderful gift!
Don't forget that the thrift stores often have wonderful books (almost new or new remainders) for super cheap! One year I got a box of used books as a present and I LOVED it! Probably one of my favorite things! :)
Love ya chicka, even though I've been quiet. I've been deep into my own head lately it seems. But I do try to come out every once in a while. :)
Hello, I was just out blog surfing and wanted to stop in and say hello I enjoyed my visit
I too was thinking of canvas totes. the kids could decorate them, or you could applique them or make them out of printed fabric then you dont have to do anything to them! hugs!
