has it really been this long???

since my last post??? Oh goodness...where has the time gone....

LOL...LOL....LOL (and that's all i have to say about that time thing)

Been hitting upon some AWESOME RUMMAGES...of late!!!

Went to a sale today and there were these two vintage baby dresses...and silk dollie coat...also a handpieced dollie quilt...no prices...I hesitated to ask as it was later in the day..and if they were to be a good price...they would be gone already..

but i asked...lady said she actually wore the white one when she was a baby! (why do people sell these memories?) well anyway.."how much"...she goes...how about a DOLLAR...good deal!!! i began gathering them up...she meant a dollar FOR ALL OF THEM...! She had a vintage white chenille spread also that will grace my sofa quite nicely! has a tiny tear in it...no problem...will fix that right up...or maybe i'll make some new pillows from it!!!



found some sweet little babies all tucked into the ballet box in the background...babies were cradled in a mound of old dollie clothes...inside the box!!!

and lookie at the duckie fabric! BEACH DUCKIES!!! I think i may know some little ones that will look adorable in a bubble romper or top from it! And there is a big piece of the slightest rose chiffon embroidered in roses!

Found this piece of water washed wood...at a sale...for a quarter...and turned it into this sign for our beachy bedroom!



also going to take down my antique chandelier...and put it into another room...I've been collecting these lanterns...and I think they will be quite scrumptious hanging at different levels in the bedroom...just got to clean them up...a bit..but for the price i paid...that's NOT a problem!!!



TOMORROW is a huge sale listed day...can't wait!!! can't wait!!!!! wonder what treasures are lurking!!!

So much rain around here....and little things are poppin up like crazy....
guess the grass cutters around our house need to be wary of tiny visitors that may be lurking around the mushrooms that have sprung up on the lawn, eh?



...and I leave you with a little image of sweet dreams...went in to check on Maddy and found her fast asleep...she had been writing in her MATH journal..(don't we ALL have math journals?) she was all tucked in under her grandma grandma (that's what she called my mom instead of great grandma...) blanket that she made...and under her head is her baby blanket that she never sleeps without it close by her side...looks like she was ready to jot down anything that may skip thru her dreams...pencil in hand...that morning light....thru her window...seems to erase the journey she's taken during the darkened hours...
