THE WORLD IN YOUR GARDEN
i found this old book...with this title...and thought it would be a good base for an art collage...

i added a wired branch across the bottom of the piece and crocheted a nest that i balanced between two branches like a pocket to hold the baby bird and scattered green upholstery leaves about the whole piece...
I added a bit of glass rosary beads with an antique 12kt. gold cross attached
and this german scrap mommy bird checking out the new member of her family living in her nest! (the white spots are glare from my camera..)
i added some vintage plastic flowers from a vintage pair of earrings...(yes all the blue flowers were on one pair of very blue earrings! Came with a matching necklace too! tons of blue! and also some vintage heavy lace...

I've never tried to do a collage on a book cover, I keep thinking I will. Yours is a good inspiration for me to try it
